Raquel and Natalya signed up for the summer reading program at the library. For every 5 hours they read they get a treat. They reached 10 hours and received free kids meals at Texas Roadhouse as their prize. We used them that night, the whole family enjoyed dining out and playing at the park after dinner.

Good-bye Truck
Mike sold his truck today. We spent last night cleaning it and making it look nice for the new owner. The kids had fun washing the truck and playing in the water. Mike was sad to see it go but it really opens up the front of our house not having it sit out front.

Eggs
We got our first egg from the chickens!
We weren't expecting any until August so we are pretty excited. 12 chickens means we could get close to a dozen eggs a day in a few weeks. We maybe having eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Lost Tooth
Raquel finally lost another tooth. Its been loose for a while but was finally ready to pull out with some encouragement from dad.
New Beds
The kids got their own beds! The girls are super excited to not be sharing anymore not sure if the boys care. Natalya and Marcus had fun picking out their new sheets and bed spreads.
Erik
Erik is almost 14 months old. He is getting big fast. He is no longer my little baby but acting like a toddler. He has a few more teeth, has taking a few steps on his own and loves to pull hair. He has to ride in the back of the shopping cart or he will climb out. And while he rides in the back he likes to throw out groceries he doesn't think we need. It is always a race to see if I can get the shopping done before he starts chucking everything out of the cart onto the floor.

Toes & Finger
The boys had a bad week of accidents. First, Marcus stuck his finger under the drill while Mike was screwing down some boards. He was a tough little guy, I'm sure it really hurt. Next Erik dropped a 5 lbs weight on his foot. We thought nothing of it because he crawled off didn't cry when it happened. We later found what looked like a little murder scene on our floor with blood everywhere. He ended up ripping off all the skin on his little toe and causing a big blood blister to form on the top. Then a few days later he go a sliver in his big toe that became infected. Poor kid had hurt feet all week.
