Swim Meet

Natalya and Raquel had fun at their 1st swim meet of the winter swim team session.  Both did well and took a couple of seconds off their previous times.  And of course the best part for the girls was the goodie bags and dinner at McDonald's afterwards.

Community Agg Day 2014

After spending the morning at Home Depot ( Hopefully one of our last) we took the kids to the Community Agg day at the High School.  We enjoyed double chocolate ice cream cones, saw lots of animals and made a few crafts.  It was a beautiful day to be outside!

Guys & Dolls Dance

Mike was able to make it home this weekend in time to take the girls to the guys and dolls dance at Raquel's school.  The girls dressed in their sunday best, had their hair done and even got to wear a little make-up and sparkles.  They had lots of fun dancing the night away with dad.

Cosmetology Day

Marcus & Natalya have had lots of fun at their Preschool at the High School.  They have lots of HS student teachers to play with, they have gotten to visit the library and trick or treat around the high school.  Their latest adventure was to the Cosmetology class.  Natalya got her hair dyed & curled and Marcus had a red mohawk. They both came home with painted finger nails. It was a fun day!

The Big Snow

We haven't had much snow this winter until this big storm.  It started snowing on Wednesday afternoon and didn't stop until the next day. We were left with 18-20 inches of snow.  The kids played in it for a short while because it was too deep to sled or even walk in for Erik and Marcus. We did enjoy a few days of no school and being inside playing.

When dad came home for the weekend we tried to go sledding but we didn't last long. It was too cold and the snow was icy. Poor Natalya and Marcus came away with cuts and scraps on their faces.

Chickens

This is the last picture of the chickens before they left for their new home.  Since we are moving and about ready to put our house on the market we had to get rid of them. It was fun while it lasted and we will miss our yummy free range chicken eggs. But I'm sure Raquel & Natalya won't mind not having to collect eggs and round up the chickens at night.

Tile Night

We went to tile night at Raquel's school.  You get to paint a tile and either take it home or have it hung up on the walls at school. Last year Raquel painted one to hang up on the wall. This year all the kids decided to take theirs home since we are moving.  The kids had lots of fun painting and seeing their friends.
