Cousins

Natalya took her first road trip to go visit cousins the end of February. We had lots of fun shopping, lounging around and making cookies. Ali bought a new sling for her baby due in Sept. and so we had to try it out on Natalya. She tolerated it for a while but didn't like to stay in it. But it sure was cute just seeing a little head peeking out of the sling.  Raquel loves to play with her cousins Anna & Lexi!

First Swim

Warming up
We took Natalya for her first swim at our local pool. She loves the water but the pool was a little cold for her. So she spent most of the time getting warm with dada outside the pool.

Valentine's Day!

My Valentines!

For Valentine's Day we gave Raquel an apron and chef hat. Doesn't she look so cute! She loves helping me bake and make dinner. Making cookies and eating the dough is by far her favorite. Now she has something to wear so she doesn't get her princess dresses dirty while helping me.

Smiles!

Natalya is such a happy baby, I just wanted to share some of her smiles with you!

Washington D.C. (Jan 20th)

Mike had the opportunity to go to D.C. during the Presidential Inauguration in January. He was called up for active duty at that time and spent about two weeks away from home. First he spent time at Fort Pickett watching other Army personal pepper spray and tazer each other, being there incase some major medical accident happened. While there he decided he was bored and volunteered to be tazed, I don't know why he did but he did.  All I can say is it was painful and he still has marks on his back from it today. The second week he spent in D.C. He slept in a big Smithsonian warehouse Museum, where they had to keep the lights on (some policy of the museum) and walk around freezing streets. He said he had fun and here are some pictures of him looking oh so cold.

The Park

This was one of Mike's rare days off work. We spent it at the park kicking around a ball, climbing trees and playing on the swing and slides.

New Toys

Raquel had lots of fun playing with her new toys after Christmas.

Christmas 2008

Looks like it was a little too early in the morning for dada.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Raquel got up and dressed in her beautiful Cinderella princess dress to open her presents. This year was especially fun because it was the first year that Raquel really understood opening presents and seeing her so excited made us want to be excited. She loved the new roller skates and remote control car that dada got for her. It was great having Papa and Grandma here since the girls have never spent Christmas with them before. Its nice to have extra pairs of hands to help out making dinner and putting together toys too.

December 2008

December was a fun month! My parents came to visit and stayed for Christmas. Raquel and Natalya got lots of Papa and Grandma time and they loved it. We were able to blessed Natalya while my parents were here. And of course we made lots of Christmas goodies, including sugar cookies.

From the Beginning

Ok, so its not right from the beginning but its where I left off from our other family web page. The old Kennedy family web page is still there but they are no longer going to have that application so you can view the old posts but I won't be able to add so I'm starting this one. If you want to take a look at the old web page the address is http://web.mac.com/kennedyfam3/iWeb/Site/Welcome.html

Giving In!

Ok, so I finally gave in to having a family blog on blogger. Our mac account family page just isn't what I wanted and its being cancelled so here I am. Hopefully I'll be a little better at posting and keeping everyone updated on our family. Enjoy!
