Richmond

This past weekend Mike had another medical conference to attend, this time it was in Richmond, Va only about 3 hours away. Friday night after work we headed to Richmond and got a hotel. Of course we made sure it was one with a indoor swimming pool, which we took advantage of that night. After sufficiently tiring out ourselves and the kids we headed to bed.

Saturday morning we dropped Mike off at his conference and the girls and I went out to breakfast. Then back to the hotel where we swam until we had to check out of our hotel. The girls and I then headed to the Children's Museum of Richmond to play for the rest of the afternoon. The museum was lots of fun! They had a big craft area for kids to make all sorts of art projects. The girls painted, made a butterfly and puppets. There was a cave to explore, dinosaur bones to uncover, a cow to milk and lots more. We spent over 3 hours playing and could have stayed longer but we had to pick up Mike from his conference and head home. The girls and I have had lots of fun this year tagging along with Mike for his medical conferences.

You could put scarves or light weight balls in one end and air would force them through twisty tubs and shoot out all different places. The girls loved this exhibit!

Raquel loved digging and building sandcastles in the rubber filled sandboxes. Natalya wouldn't set foot in them because she didn't like the feel of it on her feet. She eventually started playing and found she could still have fun being on the outside of the box.
