Pipestem

Last week we took our second annual trip to Pipestem Resort in West Virginia. We had a lot of fun last year and thought it would be a good vacation before Mike leaves.  We drove up on Wed. and got to the hotel in the middle of a rain storm so we couldn't go horse back riding and the pool was on a 45 min. thunder break so it was a little disappointing at first. But the rain did finally stop and Raquel was able to ride a horse named Dennis and we all got to go swimming. They have a big outside pool, but we like the smaller inside pool that is nice and warm. We had a bit of a disappointing meal at the resort for dinner and decided that we would go find a nice little restaurant for breakfast, so we took a little drive into a neighboring town and couldn't find anything so ended up buying some granola bars, raisins and fruit cups for breakfast. The next morning we were the first at the pool and played for a while and then packed up, let Raquel ride a horse once more and then we went home. Our plan was to stay most of the day and then head  to Mike's medical partners house for dinner which was only about 30 min. away but Natalya was one fussy baby the whole time we were there (good reason, she cut a tooth, just makes it hard when you are all in the same tiny room), so we came home early and ended up driving back to go to dinner.
Swimming in the pool, where it was nice and warm!
